Social organizations

In Enschede there are plenty of opportunities to become a member of a student association. The societies of the four student associations, AEGEE-Enschede, A.S.V. Taste, C.S.V. Alpha and DSCC / DJCR Audentis et Virtutis, are located in De Pakkerij on the Oude Markt. Every association is of a different nature. All four associations have one thing in common, namely that having fun and making new friends is paramount.

AEGEE-Enschede

With 450 members, AEGEE-Enschede is one of the largest and most diverse student associations in Enschede. It is an open association without hazing. You have the opportunity to broaden your horizons and develop within the different committees and you are encouraged to form a year club with your new friends from the same year. If you choose AEGEE-Enschede, you not only choose a very pleasant, open student association with new friends in the Netherlands, but also abroad. In addition to local activities, AEGEE-Enschede offers you the opportunity to get in touch with a network of European students through cool trips and interesting conferences.

A.S.V. Taste

A.S.V. Taste is a general student association with around 450 members with different backgrounds. This means that A.S.V. Taste one of the largest student associations in Enschede. Characteristic is the diversity and enthusiasm of the members in combination with socializing, study and self-development.

C.S.V. Alpha

C.S.V. Alpha is the Christian social association of Enschede. At Alpha they think it is important to make a great time out of your student days, to have a lot of fun and also to learn something outside the classroom. Alpha is a relatively small association with around 110 members, so everyone knows each other. The Christian faith plays an important role, which is reflected in the activities and the atmosphere within the association and society. The slogan is not for nothing: “For those who believe in student life!”

DSCC / DJCR Audentis et Virtutis

The traditional DSCC / DJCR “Audentis et Virtutis”, in short Audentis, means freely translated “for those who dare and are brave”, the members can also be described. In your first year, you and others from your group form a year club, with which you will eat and have a drink. Audentis distinguishes itself from other associations by its entrepreneurship. The student café of Enschede, ‘t Gat in de Markt, is for example run by members of Audentis. In short, Audentis, a melting pot for students who are looking for relaxation, conviviality, contacts and development!

Navigators Students Enschede

Navigators Studenten Enschede is a Christian student association where students from the University of Twente and Saxion Enschede come together. Their motto is “know Christ and make him known”. This is combined with a student culture in a pleasant association where depth and good friendships are paramount.

RSK

The RSK is a Christian student association where in-depth and socializing are central. RSK is very diverse due to the different church outcomes. Yet they believe in the same God who connects them and who also makes diversity possible at the RSK unit. You will notice this during pleasant weekends, long (or shorter) drinks in RSK houses, club meals with now a lecture, then a game evening, then singing together again or open activities with fellow students, but especially during the weekly circle evening, the pivot and most important activity of the RSK.

VGST

Association of Reformed Students in Twente is a close-knit, active association of around 90 HBO and WO students. The purpose of the VGST is to give Christian content to student life. In practical terms, this means that they have Bible studies every week, have equiped lectures, delve into groups outside of the study and give lectures. Fortunately they are not just serious. The weekly society in café De Pijp is a good example of this: here you can enjoy conversations about faith, society or study, playful actions or just the atmosphere and the people while enjoying a beer or a glass of soft drink.
