Thursday night is known as student night in Enschede when you want to go partying. Many students will find their way to Aspen Valley, ‘t Gat in de Markt, Friends, Fellini, Paddy’s, Shooters, De Wigwam or any of the other bars and clubs in Enschede! ‘T Bolke is one of the biggest clubs in the Netherlands and at Rico Latino you are guaranteed for a night of salsa dancing. Looking for some beer tasting? Visit De Beiaard, Stanislaus Brewskovitch or Proeflokaal Belgie to try some specialties! In summer, you will find the best wines at BRUUT’s rooftop terrace, with a beautiful afternoon sun on your face.
Enschede is a city full of culture and creativity. At Wilminktheater and Concordia, an all year round programme is offered full of cabaret and theatre shows. Did you know that Vestzaktheater, part of Concordia, is the smallest theatre of Enschede? With only 65 seats in a very intimate and historic setting, it is absolutely worth visiting a show, as they have a special Language No Problem programme! Looking for a good music concert? Join one of the shows or concerts at Muziekcentrum Enschede or Metropool. Finally, Vrijhof Cultuurcentrum, the culture centre at the University of Twente, is opened for all students in Enschede.
To catch a movie, visit Kinepolis. With two locations, in the city centre and at Go Planet Parc, you will always find something you like. Are you more interested in cultural movies? Take a look at the movie programme of Concordia. Concordia offers a full programme of cultural movies, including Expat Cinema, where international movies are subtitled in English.

One of the student hotspots in Enschede is Bar Update. This bar will soon be your second living room. It is a cosy student café with many boardgames to play. From 30 Seconds to Monopoly, it’s all there. The café is opened early in the evening and everyone is welcome! Don’t forget to visit Café LP. This is a place to have drink, laugh, play boardgames and sing along as loud as you can with the music. At Moeke, every Wednesday night and Sunday night is game night. The first floor will be transformed into a game room and you are free to join!
Still not done playing games? Enschede has a real arcade game hall: The Game Box. At Poolcafe the Bridge, Snooker & Poolcentrum Enschede or Starballs, you will be able to play a good game of pool, bowling, billiard or darts. If you are just up for a game of bowling, Bowling Enschede is the place to be. Zero 55, located at Go Planet Parc, offers different games in one location: E-karting, lasertag, escape rooms and virtual reality racing rooms. All of them are in a futuristic, unique setting!
