Immersive technologies are changing the way we perceive our reality. That is why the Saxion XR Lab and the Creative Media & Game Technologies study program organize the Reality Check Festival annually. With the help of speakers, an exhibition floor and portfolio checks, the festival explores topics like XR, gaming, storytelling, computer graphics and game technologies. The event aims to inspire and connect professionals and enthusiasts that are creating new realities.

Day one (30th of March) will take place in Metropool and Wilminktheater. From 10:00 until 15:00 o'clock, experts and speakers will discuss various topics, from science and research to business and industry. You'll have the opportunity to network with other professionals in the world of AI, AR, storytelling and more. You can also connect with industry leaders and you might even be able to express your knowledge to the other people at the event. Next to the talks, you can step into a world beyond reality in the XR (extended reality) art exhibition The Garden of Liminal Delights in the Grote Kerk at the Oude Markt in the city centre. Immerse yourself in a kaleidoscope full of colours and shapes and witness the limitless potential of XR technology.

Day two (31st of March) will take place at Saxion XR Lab at Ariënsplein. Between 10:00 and 15:00 o'clock, you can take advantage of workshops and take a look at portfolio checks. If you want to learn and know more about XR or game technologies, it is recommended to go to this event and take part in the workshops.

A good amount of speakers and experts are invited to talk more about the world of technology where they work in. Professionals like Lead Content Partnerships HTC Vive Sam Watts, Manager Innovation NPO Egon Verharen and CEO Controllab Christian Kleijn will tell their stories and discuss with the audience about the topics that they are most familiar with. They love to brainstorm about how technology is evolving and what you can do with it all.
