University of Twente

The University of Twente is a research university where technical developments and their importance to individuals and society are at the forefront. This is reflected in the Bachelor's and Master's programmes that are administered by five faculties: Engineering Technology (ET), Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS), Science and Technology (S&T), Behavioural, Management & Social Sciences (BMS) and Geo-Information and Earth Observation (ITC).

Modules and project-based learning

All bachelor's programmes at the University of Twente consist of modules. Each module has a theme with all sorts of subjects and learning activities, such as feedback sessions with fellow students or workshops and lectures. The different aspects of a module are related to the study programme and often interconnected. Central to each module is a team project in which, together with your group, you address a real-world problem. This way, scientific theory is put into practice.
